2007 Catalog

Send us your Photos! Send us a picture of your trophies taken with a CVA rifle and we just might make you famous! That's right, CVA is always looking for pictures to use in our catalogs and here on our web site. If we are able to use your photographs, we will send you a free CVA Pro Team hat and a pack of our hot new PowerBelt™ Bullets.

Here are some "do's and don'ts" to help make your pictures look like they were taken by a professional photographer.

  • Do take a picture of the animal in its natural surroundings (trees, fields, mountains, etc).
  • Do clean any visible blood off of the animal's face or body. Block any visible entry or exit wounds with your rifle or body.
  • Do make sure there is plenty of light. With low light or partial shading, use a flash.
  • Do take the picture within a distance of 15 feet. Try several angles, including having the photographer at a lower angle than the subject (photographer may need to lay prone on his/her stomach). Also make sure that the subject fills the picture frame.
  • Don't field dress the animal before you take your picture.
  • Don't take a picture with the animal's tongue hanging out.
  • Don't take the picture with the animal hanging from a meat pole or in the bed of a truck.
  • Don't "sit" on your animal.

If you photo is selected* to be used on our web site, we will post it right here! Be sure to send it to:

*Please note that by sending your pictures to us you are here by providing express consent for the unlimited usage of the pictures in CVA promotional material. In exchange for photographs that are actually used as promotional material, CVA agrees to send a free Pro Staff hat and a pack of PowerBelt™ bullets.
